Treatment Services

Out-Patient Counseling (for all ages)
A.        Main Office (Wilkes-Barre)
            Hours:  Monday through Thursday, 8:30am to 8:00pm; Fridays 8:30am to 5:00pm
B.         Pittston Office
             Hours:  Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm; Tuesday & Thursday, 1:00pm to 5:00pm

The outpatient counseling program is approximately 6 months in length depending on the needs of the individual client.  Emphasis is placed on involvement in self-help groups, relapse prevention, goal setting, problem prioritization, and self-esteem building. (For all ages)

Stepping Stones (Main Office) (for clients over 18 years of age)
Hours:              Morning Program – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday – 9:00am to 1:00pm      
                          Afternoon Program – Monday, Wednesday, Friday – 1:00pm to 5:00pm   
                          Evening Program – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday – 5:00pm to 9:00pm

An intensive group therapy program, utilizing a partial hospitalization model offers the client the opportunity to experience 12 hours of therapy per week for 6 weeks, while still being able to live at home fulfilling family and employment obligations.  Emphasis is placed on relapse prevention and involvement in productive life activities. 

Adolescent Intensive Out-Patient Program (Main Office)
Hours:  Monday, Tuesday – 5:00pm to 7:30pm
              Tuesday, Wednesday – 3:00pm to 6:00pm

The AIOP is a 5-week program which affords clients the opportunity to receive group therapy that addresses several issues such as healthy peer selection, conflict resolution, decision-making and coping skills, self-esteem building, and involvement in self-help groups to aid in the recovery process.  (for clients age 18 and under)

Family Program (Main Office)
Hours:  Wednesday – 6:00pm to 8:00pm

This weekly program is available to any family member interested in learning about substance abuse/addiction.  Topics include how to support their loved one through the recovery process without enabling the person, setting boundaries and how to work through the family’s feelings regarding the addiction and impact on the family unit.

    • Hospital Consultations (Wilkes-Barre Mercy Hospital and Wyoming Valley Healthcare)
        Hours:  Upon request

    • John Heinz Rehabilitation Center (consultation and counseling)
        Hours:  Upon request

    • Protection From Abuse (court appearance)
        Hours:  Tuesday and Thursday – 9:00am to 12:00pm

    • Juvenile Court Hearings
        Hours:  Tuesday mornings

    • Mid-Atlantic Youth Services Detention Program
        Hours:  Wednesday evenings – 5:00pm to 7:00pm
