We assign a prevention/education specialist to various schools to provide intervention, education and other aspects of prevention services. Some of these topics include:
- refusal skills
- decision-making
- problem solving
- coping skills
- selecting healthy peers
- conflict resolution
- peer mediation
- self esteem building
- risk vs. protective factors and many other important topics
In addition, evidence based and evidence informed programs are utilized. We believe that the earlier we are able to educate, the less likely someone will experiment. We do believe that education is the key to prevention.
